summary: Fair or Unfair?
The Juvenile Justice System is looked at in various ways. Throughout my research I have seen that there can be different sides to this system we all trust so much. What we think is that all the kids that are being incarcerated have a reason to but this isn't always the case for everyone. Some kids are placed in centers and probably may not even need to.The system isn't working in the way it should be. It is helpful but it is not rehabilitating kids in the proper way that it should be. Most kids don't even commit a crime that should be punished so severely but these kids find themselves doing the time for what they are sentenced for. Maybe it isn't just the kids but also the system that we are under, maybe there are better ways to fix the glitches in the Juvenile Justice System. People also may think that by providing an adolescent with a probation officer they are solving the problem, but is that really true when each probation officer costs $200,000 with benefits? And do they all deserve to be incarcerated? Is it discrimination? These are ALL questions that leave minds wondering if the juvenile system is really all that fair.
